V60 POUR OVER
CHEMEX, KALITA OR V60? HERE IS HOW TO BREW OUR DEJA BREW COFFEE FILTER COFFEE. THE POUR OVER METHOD GETS YOU A ROUND CUP OF COFFEE WITH A LIGHT MOUTHFEEL!
What you will need
Step 1
Boil a kettle, and leave it to rest for a minute
Step 2
Place a filter paper into your V60, and rinse with hot water (discarding afterwards!). TOP TIP 1: Rinsing the filter paper makes sure it doesn’t affect the flavour, so you’re only getting the delicious flavour notes of your coffee
Step 3
Add one scoop of medium ground Deja Brew Coffee
Step 4
Pour in enough off-the-boil water to cover the grounds, moving in circles while your pour
Step 5
Leave the water-covered grounds to ‘bloom’ for 30 seconds, to allow gasses to escape. TOP TIP: Bubbles of carbon dioxide escaping is a key sign that your coffee is fresh, as it hasn’t had time to degas naturally
Step 6
Over the next two minutes, gradually add enough water to fill the cup
Step 7
Pour into a cup and Enjoy!
